I know that i have come across a good couple of high yielding flats. The only disadvantage with this flats is that the capital growth on these properties will not be that great. Landlords often like to have a modest yield and the potential to have capital growth.
Bearing this in mind i have identified a nice 3 bedroom mid terrace property which is on the market for £129,950 with Mansbridge and Balment. The property does require some modernisation. The kitchen would possibly need to be replaced and no bathroom photo (So I will assume that this needs to be replaced too!!) Something that should cost no more than £5,000.
The property should rent all day long for £650 which would give a yield of 6%. The interesting thing is that in the past year prices in this area have risen by 7.24%, which is nearly 2% above the average house price increase in Plymouth which is 5.32%.
